How it works, clearly and honestly.
Everything you need to know about taking part and winning. No hidden catches. Real prizes, fair judging, honest payouts.

The three events & prizes
₹2,50,000 in total across three events:
Take part in one, two, or all three. The more you join, the more chances you have.

Who can take part
- Anyone living in Bhopal, or who comes to Bhopal, can take part.
- Open to all ages. Minors (under 18) need a parent's or guardian's consent to take part and be featured.
- Team members and organisers of Wake Up Bhopal, State Today and Eat Healthy Be Fit are not eligible to win any prize. They may join and enjoy the marathon for participation, but cannot win.

How to take part
Voice Contest (₹1,00,000): Share your voice (a video or an interview), complete your entry (the online questions), post your video and tag @wakeupbhopal, @eathealthybefit and @statetoday, and get at least 5 votes on your post. Not comfortable online? Message us on WhatsApp to raise a help request, and our team will help you complete it, by call, in person, whatever works.
EHBF Special Voice (₹50,000): Share your voice about food and health via the EHBF edition page, and complete your entry there.
Marathon 5km (₹1,00,000): Pre-register now; join the 5km run or walk on the day (date announced soon).

How winners are chosen
Voice contests (Voice + EHBF): Judged fairly on a points system, the genuineness and heart of your voice, the substance of your answers, and some weight for engagement (votes). Votes are capped, so it is not just a popularity contest, a genuine, everyday voice can beat a big influencer. Judged by a panel including the team and at least one independent / media representative, for fairness.
Marathon: Prizes for the top finishers of the 5km run, plus participation entries so walkers have a chance too (details confirmed before the event). Inclusive, not only for the fastest.
Judging is transparent and fair.

The prizes & payout
Wake Up Bhopal Voice Contest, ₹1,00,000 (top 10)
EHBF Special Voice, ₹50,000 (top 10)
Marathon 5km, ₹1,00,000: top finishers plus walker participation entries (split confirmed before the event).
Winners are announced publicly and paid directly (bank transfer / UPI) within a set number of days of the announcement. Real, dignified payout. A chance to win, never "you will win."

Featured in State Today
Real, selected voices are featured in State Today, our media partner's printed newspaper. If your voice is featured, we'll contact you for your address to deliver your copy. No address is collected upfront.

Consent & your data
By taking part, you agree that your voice, video and answers may be shared and featured by Wake Up Bhopal, State Today and Eat Healthy Be Fit, and used to run the contest and understand our city. Your data is not misused. Minors: with parent/guardian consent.

Fair play
Genuine entries only, no fake votes, fake accounts, or spam. Keep it constructive and non-political: no naming or accusing specific shops, brands, or people. Be honest and respectful. Entries that break these may be disqualified.

Dates
Entry open / close, winner announcement, and the marathon date: to be announced. The marathon date will be shared soon, pre-register to be the first to know.

We can't feature everyone in print, featured voices are selected. We give every voice a platform, and help where we genuinely can (we don't promise to fix everything). Prizes and details may be adjusted with notice. This contest is run by ABES E-COM LLP. Non-political and community-focused.
